Friends of Dinthill, Inc is a non-profit organization founded on the belief that small actions can lead to meaningful change. Our journey began in 2016 when a dedicated team of South Florida
based alumni from Dinthill Technical High School in Linstead, St. Catherine, Jamaica came together to launch a groundbreaking medical mission to support students from their alma mater. Following a successful start and recognizing that there was a need for essential back-to-school healthcare services, we expanded our efforts with the support of volunteers from across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
Initially focused on a specific group of students, we have since expanded our reach to welcome any student from Linstead and its surrounding communities to participate in our annual medical mission trips to Jamaica. In 2024, we reached another significant milestone by obtaining 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
Friends of Dinthill, Inc remains committed to improving access to health and wellness services in underserved communities by providing essential healthcare resources such as vision exams, dental care, and overall health support without regard to circumstances. Through our commitment, we strive to create lasting positive impacts on individuals and communities alike with the goal of empowering each person to lead a healthier, more fulfilling life. In addition to our annual projects, we also collaborate with other non-profit groups that share our vision of making a difference in the lives of those we serve.
